Medical Malpractice – Failure to Diagnose Bacterial Endocarditis

NVN represented multiple physicians and surgeons who treated a young man who had a history of a fever of unknown origin and a bicuspid aortic valve. The plaintiff alleged that our clients failed to diagnose subacute bacterial endocarditis which resulted in heart valve replacement surgery and alleged disability. After several weeks of trial, the case was discontinued against several of our clients, and the matter was resolved.
